Environment Setup

KambojaJS is NodeJs MVC Framework powered by TypeScript. Basic NodeJS setup required on your local development.

Command Line App

For mac/linux user you can use terminal. For windows user it is preferred to use git bash command line app. Because it has unix-style syntax.

For windows user, download and install Git for Windows after installation complete, you will get git bash command line app.

Install NodeJS

Download and install NodeJs, pick appropriate installer match with your current machine.

After installation complete, open your command line app and type:

$ node -v

If it return appropriate NodeJS version then your installation is correct. If not try to troubleshot the installation described in this link

Visual Studio Code

Using VS Code is optional, you can use your favorite editor, but all tutorial in this site assume you use VSCode.

Download VS Code match with your machine, make sure it is callable from command line.

After installation complete, open your command line app and type:

$ code .

Visual studio code will open and load the current working directory.
